Welcome to WAV app, and any other web sites, applications, or services that link to this Privacy Policy (collectively, the "WAV Service"), which sites, applications or services are operated or produced by WAV Media, Inc. ("WAV"). WAV values the privacy of the users, subscribers, publishers, members, and others who visit and use the WAV Service (collectively or individually, "You" or "Users") and wants you to be familiar with how we collect, use and disclose information from and about you. By agreeing to this Privacy Policy in your WAV account setup, or by using the WAV Service, you expressly consent to the information handling practices described in this notice. This Privacy Policy applies to WAV’s collection and use of your personal information (i.e., information that identifies a specific person, such as full name, address, phone number, or email address). It also describes generally WAV's practices for handling non-personal information (for example, interests, demographics and services usage).

The Items of Information That WAV Media Collects

WAV may collect, in the course of using the WAV Service, social login for subscription, Nickname, SNS ID, and profile images from You. In the course of events and customer’s inquiry, User email address and event prize shipment information may be additionally collected, and for the friend list search and invitation, the mobile phone number and the contact information which is stored in terminal address book may be utilized. In the course of using services, IP addresses, service use records, records of poor uses, and terminal information etc may be automatically generated and collected. Personal Information. When You use the WAV Services, we may collect and store personally identifiable information that You have directly provided on a voluntary basis. You may provide to WAV what is generally called "personal information" in the USA and elsewhere or "personal data" in the European Union (such as your name, email address, postal mailing address, home/mobile telephone number, credit card number and billing information) if you register for a WAV Service, or upload, purchase, view or download certain content or products from the WAV Service, enter contests or sweepstakes, or otherwise use the features and functionality of the WAV Service. Personally identifiable information (“Personal Information”) is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. An identifiable person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, by reference to an identification number or to one or more factors specific to his/her physical, physiological, mental, economic, cultural or social identity. Once registered, You may also have the option of completing a user profile. Your user profile may include Personal and non-Personal Information, depending on how you complete the profile. We will use Data, (“Data” refers to all information that we collect to measure and/or attribute through the services) including ad identifiers and IP addresses, for marketing purposes; You may opt-out of our services by choosing not to agree to use the WAV Service.

Non-Personal Information: When You use the WAV Service, we may collect information that will not be able to specifically identify You, such as demographic information (for example, gender or age) and information about your interests and preferences. In many cases, such demographic and preferences information is optional. In other cases, we collect this information on an anonymous basis. We may group any such information into aggregate user data in order to describe the use of the WAV Service to our existing or potential business partners, sponsors, advertisers or other third parties, or in response to a government request. We may also group demographic and preferences information and responses to surveys that we collect from visitors into aggregate data for the same purposes. This aggregate data will in no way personally identify You or any other Users of the WAV Service. Technical and Usage Information. To enable your use of the WAV Service, we collect technical and usage information such as your IP address, your browser type, browser language, referring and exit URLs (including, without limitation, your access to third party sites (including through links, advertisements, or other means), including social networks such as Twitter, Facebook, and Google+), interactions with other users, usage statistics with the Services, and device identification information regarding the computers, the servers or other devices with which You use the WAV Service. "Cookies" Information: When You access the WAV Service, we may send one or more cookies - small text files containing a string of alphanumeric characters - to your computer. "Automatically Collected" Information: When You access the WAV Service or open one of our HTML emails, we may automatically record certain information from your system by using cookies and other types of tracking technologies. This "automatically collected" information may include Internet Protocol address (" IP Address "), a unique user ID, device type, device identifiers, browser types and language, referring and exit pages, platform type, version of software installed, system type, the content and pages that you access on the WAV Service, the number of clicks, the amount of time spent on pages, the dates and times that you visit the WAV Service, and other similar information. Depending on the law of your country of residence, your IP address may legally be considered personal information. Information from Other Sources: We may obtain information, including personal information, from third parties and sources other than the WAV Service, such as advertisers or social media networks for which You have approved our access to information (e.g., information from your Facebook account provided by the Facebook APIs). When You access the WAV Service through social media networks or when You connect a WAV Service to social media networks, You are authorizing WAV to collect, store and use such information and content in accordance with this Privacy Policy. We may also obtain information from third parties such as social entertainment platforms regarding your use of such services, including about your use of the content You choose to broadcast through the WAV Service. If we combine or associate information from other sources with personal information that we collect through the WAV Service, we will treat the combined information as personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

The Way WAV Media Collects Information

WAV uses the personal information that you provide or that we collect from or about You: to operate, maintain, enhance, and provide all of the features and services found on the WAV Service; to improve your experience with the WAV Service by delivering content which we hope you will find relevant and interesting, including advertising and marketing messages; to allow you to comment on content, and participate in online events, contests or rewards programs; and as necessary to comply as a service provider with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act or other similar legal obligations around the world.

We will use your email address for administrative communications such as notifying you of major WAV Service updates, for customer service purposes, to address copyright infringement or defamation issues, or to contact you regarding any content that you have posted to or downloaded from the WAV Service. WAV may periodically send promotional materials or notifications to you related to the WAV Service. If you want to stop receiving promotional materials, you can go to WAV app/settings once you have logged in to the WAV Service or (for email) follow the unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of each email. If you have installed a mobile app and you wish to stop receiving push notifications, you can change the settings either on your mobile device or through the app.

The Way WAV Media Uses Information

WAV uses the information that we collect to understand the usage trends and preferences of our Users, to improve the way the WAV Service works and looks, and to create new features and functionality. WAV may use "Automatically Collected" information and "Cookies" information to maintain and improve the WAV Service, including to do the following things: (a) automatically update the WAV application on your system; (b) remember your information so that you will not have to re-enter it during your visit or the next time you access the WAV Service; (c) provide customized third-party advertisements, content and information; (d) monitor the effectiveness of third-party marketing campaigns; (e) monitor aggregate site usage metrics such as total number of visitors and pages accessed; and (f) track your entries, submissions, and status in any promotions or other activities.

The company also uses the collected information for the following purposes:

International Users

Your information may be stored and processed in the United States where we have facilities, and by using an Application, the Services or the Site you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States, which may be outside of your country of residence and may provide for different and less stringent data protection rules than in your country. If you object to your information being transferred or used as described in this Policy, please do not use any Application, the Services or the Site and immediately delete all Applications from your User Devices.

Sharing and supply of personal information

In principle, the company does not provide any external party with the personal information of the user without a prior written consent. However, the exceptions are as below.

Rights of users and their legal representatives, and how to exercise the rights

Users and their legal representatives may research or correct the registered personal information of their own at any time, and request to delete their accounts. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under the age of 13. If You are under the age of 13, please stop using the WAV Service. If You are under the age of majority in your country of residence, you must have your parent or legal guardian’s permission to register for the WAV Service (and you will provide evidence of such permission to us upon our request). If You do not have your parent or legal guardian’s permission (or cannot provide evidence of such permission to us upon our request), please stop using the WAV Service.

We encourage parents and guardians to take an active role in monitoring their children’s use of the WAV Service. In the event that we learn that a User is under the age of 13, or that we have inadvertently collected Personal Information from children under the age of 13, we will make efforts to promptly delete that account and that information.

  • If the users ask for correction on the error of their personal information, the concerned personal information will not be used or provided until the correction is completed. In addition, if such wrong personal information was already provided to a third party, we will notify the result of correction to the third party without delay and have it corrected.
  • The company has terminated or deleted the personal information upon the request of the users or their legal representatives as specified in the “Period of retention and use of personal information”, and also processed not to research or use for other purposes. WAV strives to protect our user's data, and we employ administrative, physical and electronic measures designed to protect your Non-Personal Information from unauthorized access and use. Please be aware that no security measures that we take to protect your information is absolutely guaranteed to avoid unauthorized access or use of your Non-Personal Information which is impenetrable.

International Users

Your continued use of any Application, the Services or the Site following the posting of any modifications to this Policy will constitute your acceptance of the revised Policy.
